BADALA

BADALA was born from the realization that women and children are dying every day from starvation, and the vision to do something about it. Founder Joelle McNamara realized that these people are not asking for a hand-out, but for a lay-up. They are looking for a way to climb out of poverty and provide for their families through employment, and that's exactly what BADALA is about: creating sustainable job opportunities for women. Since their launch of creating jewelry and home goods in Kenya, they have expanded to East Africa, Central America, and domestic sex trafficking survivors.
